Born in Namibia, grew up in Swaziland, Malawi, and South Africa.

After studying economics and environmental science, I made it my mission to explore and experience as much as possible. Over the years I've done some freelance yacht work (with a few sketchy Atlantic crossings), sound-proofing work in London, I co-founded an energy efficiency company which operated throughout Southern Africa, taught English in Vietnam, and set up an online store selling guayusa after spending weeks in the Ecuadorian Amazon sourcing it.

I love writing about pretty much anything, but am particularly interested in environmental issues, adventuring, and the natural world. Curious about the potential of tech in helping to solve some of the most pressing environmental and social issues of our time, I recently learned to code and have since been developing a conscious consumer app as a side project - in between trying to explain the intricacies of various software in a non-complicated way that even your tech-weary uncle living in the woods would understand.
